Neuroscience consultations & keynotes

I completed my PhD in Monash University in collaboration with the University of Melbourne and the Royal Women’s Hospital, within the field of developmental neuroscience. My studies looked at the neurodevelopmental effects of caffeine as a treatment for apnea of prematurity in babies that are born early (preterm). Following the completion of my PhD, I made my way to Seattle, Washington to work as a post-doctoral researcher in a neurodegenerative diseases laboratory in Harborview Medical Centre and the University of Washington.

I now work as a clinical research and regulatory affairs associate, providing consultations in clinical trial design, management and monitoring, as well as registration of medicines in Australia and New Zealand. I also provide neuroscience consults to companies developing treatments, supplements and those wanting to share evidence-based neuroscience tools for wellbeing.

With 15 years of research experience and over 5 years as a yoga teacher my presentation style is educational and interactive. I often combine educational evidence-based content with wellbeing practises to create a holistic approach to wellbeing.

Some ideas for talks and workshops.

Neuroscience of sleep

A 1-hour keynote on the neuroscience of sleep and tools for better sleep. The keynote can conclude with a 30-minute iRest Yoga Nidra practise, a research-based practise that allows you to ease into deep states of relaxation. Yoga nidra is a meditation, self-inquiry and a deep rest.

Goal setting

A 1-hour keynote on the neuroscience of achieving and setting goals. The keynote can conclude with a visualisation workshop.

The science of stress

A 1-hour keynote on the the impact of stress as well as the benefits of acute stress. The keynote would conclude with an evidence-based personalised breathwork practise.
